She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernst Stannat and Margareta Stannat; her husband Leon Braisted, Jr.; her daughter Brenda; and her sibling Otea Palmer.
She is survived by: her friend Leon; her children, Jennifer, Sherri (Cliff) and Leon III (Kim); her grandchildren, Joshua, Jaclynn, Emily (Patrick), Matthew (Erin), Kyle (Paulina), Nathan (Melody), Kevin (Summer), Julie and Leon "Lee" IV (Ariel Adam); and her great grandchildren, Rosalie, Jocelynn, Hannah, Grace, Elizabeth, Kian, Dean and Sylvia. She is also survived by her husband and children, reaching extended family.
