He was predeceased by : his father William Holcomb; his spouse Bettyann; and his siblings, Gordon, Merton, William and Vivian Holcomb.

He is survived by : his children, Robert Holcomb (Mary), William Holcomb (Diane), Herbert Holcomb (Joann) and Madeline Mott (Earle); and his brother Duane Holcomb (late Mary Jane). He is also survived by five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
