He was predeceased by: his father Roy L. Mienk; and his son Zachary. He is survived by: his mother Dianne Mienk (Green) of Gladwin; his wife Cheryl Sweet; his children, Douglas Mienk of Chicago, Tiffany Mienk of Grand Rapids, Tom (Despoina Huber), Tammy (Mark Wilson), Ronald Barlow of Gaylord and Kristi (Andy Shakula); and his siblings, Roy (Brenda Mienk), Tom (Diane Mienk) and Janice Mienk (Dennis Hall) of Traverse City. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many close friends, his family and many very good friends.
