He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Sr. Maas and Elverta Maas (Gessler); his brother Howard Maas Jr.; his siblings-in-law, Rolanda Irvin-Maas (Susan Maas-Kucharz) and Bill Kucharz; and his pet Sugar.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Michael Maas (Stephanie) and Nikitta Nies (Cory); his siblings, Paul Maas (Marie), Nancy Maas and Mike Riston (Annette); his grandchild Jazmine Maas; and his nephew Tim Maas-Treat (Molly). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and long time friends.
