She was predeceased by : her husband Jose Encarnacion-Lara; her son Armando Lara; her granddaughters, Araseli Jurek and Victoria Vasquez-Hernandez; her sons-in-law, Kerry Barnes and John Esquivel; and her sister Seferina.

She is survived by : her children, Eleazar Lara (Olga), Robert Lara, Maria Barnes, Gloria Diaz (Rodolfo), Maricela Esquivel, Gracie Esquivel (Mike) and Felix Lara (Nicole). She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.
