He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Day and Priscilla Day (Emry); and his brother Alan Edward Day. He is survived by: his spouse Michael George Paulen; his stepdaughter Ashley Fries (Bryan); his siblings, Susan Bouchard (David), Jerry Day (Dawn), Tom Day (Marilyn) and Scott Day (Teresa); and his grandchildren, Jack and Lucy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Palmer College of Chiropractic, Attn: Advancement, 1000 Brady Street, Davenport, IA 52803.
