We announce the death of Robert Bruce Hopson of Fennville, Michigan, who passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 69. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Sherman and Rosie Hopson (Hayes); and his sons, Robert Hopson, Ronnie Allen Hopson and Tommy Strickfaden.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia May Hopson (Hamm); his son Richard Hopson; his stepchildren, Charlie Conklin (Lynette), Cindy Bush (Bob) and Joe Conklin (Heather); his siblings, Jackie Hopson, JoAnn Lewis (Rich), Robin Iehl, Sherman Hopson Brenda Day (Al), Maryann Hopson, Kevin Hopson (Nicki), Heather Royal (Jessie), Syndall Hopson and John Hopson; his brother-in-law Dale Wadsworth (Lisa); his grandchildren, Richard Hopson, Dillon Hopson, Kole Hopson, Meryssa Hopson, Destiny Ramirez, Treah Hopson, Luke Conklin, Shannon Willever, Samantha Conklin, Blake Conklin, Ethan Conklin, Xavier Bush and Khidan Bush; and his great grandchild Aubree Conklin.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Trowbridge Community Church (355 26th St, Otsego, MI 49078).
