She was predeceased by: her parents, Gillum Howell and Santa Lee Howell (Wolverton); her sons, David and Steven Holmgren; and her granddaughter Paige Holmgren.
She is survived by: her husband James W. Holmgren of Fenton; her sons, Jeffery Holmgren (Peggy) of West Bloomfield, Scott Holmgren of Albuquerque, NM and Kevin Holmgren (Missy) of Brighton; her grandchildren, Tim Holmgren, Kristen Holmgren, Jayce Borowski (Zach) and Bryce Holmgren; her great grandchildren, Crew and Nash; and her sister Bess Kirkland of Taylor, MI. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel (1000 W Silver Lake Rd, Fenton, MI 48430). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In memory of Amanda, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or to the Flint Food Bank.
