He was predeceased by : his parents, Jessie Phillips and Betty Phillips; his brother Mike Phillips; and his granddaughter Ali Coleman. He is survived by : his wife Sharon Phillips; his children, Dawn Coleman and Scott Phillips; his siblings, Tom Phillips (Sharon), Jerry Phillips (Milissa), Mark Phillips, Linda Janssen (Dave) and Martha Oswanski (Nick); his siblings-in-law, Linda Phillips and George Stealgraeve (Karen); his grandchildren, Marc Coleman (Amanda), Amber Coleman and Emma Phillips; and his great grandchildren, Ember Coleman and Dakoda Comstock.
