He was predeceased by: his parents, David Ellsworth and Marguerite Ellen Sumey (Callahan); his former wife Kathleen Sumey (Kenny); his son David Arnold Sumey; and his brothers, Richard Keith Sumey, John Mark Sumey and Phillip Edward Sumey.
He is survived by: his wife Suzanne; his grandchildren, Haylie Katherine Harrod (Brian) and David Christopher Sumey (Taylor Ann); his great grandchildren, Payten, David Jordan and Leo; his siblings, Mary Catherine Rodzewicz (Michael) and Michael Sumey (Noreen); Julie Anne Smith (James) and Robert Michael Sumey (Sheri Schuber).
