She was predeceased by: her parents, William E. Walter and Pauline F. Walter (Murphy); her husband Howard Smith Shand; and her siblings, Dr. Daniel Walter (Peggy), William Walter and Beverly Greene.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tenley Himes (Brent), Sydney Leathers (David) and Martha Barbera (Lewis); her grandchildren, Morgan Leathers, Lucy Dahl (Peder), Austin Leathers (Emily), Meryl Leathers, Jack Barbera (Maggie) and William Barbera (Claire); and her great grandchildren, Daisy Leathers, Leo Leathers and Brittan Dahl. She is also survived by her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
