She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Heintz and Margaret "Tat" Heintz of Mount Pleasant; her son J. Scott Flake; her brothers, Bob Heintz and Jeff Heintz (Jackie); and her in-laws, Charles and Gertrude Flake.

She is survived by: her significant other Charles James "Jim" Flake; her children, Joe Flake (Nancy) and Jennifer Bloedow (Rod); her daughter-in-law Bobbi Flake; her grandchildren, Adam Flake, Madelyn Flake, Marty Flake (Noah Tutt), Carly Snyder, Abigail Winget (Lane), Ben Flake and Tyler Snyder; her great grandchild Myles Winget; her sisters-in-law, Connie Heintz and Margie Arnott (Sam); and her siblings, Mike Heintz (Margo), Joe Heintz (Linda), Dan Heintz (Cheryl), Pat Heintz (Leslee) and Kathy Fountain.
