He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Cheek and Paul Ray Umber; his stepdaughter Cynthia Hnatow; his stepson-in-law Andrew King; his stepbrother Craig Beyer; and his nephew Aaron Umber.
He is survived by: his wife Deanna (Whipple); his daughter Renee Grooters (Jeff); his stepchildren, Dena, Cheryl Poulson (Keith) and Jeff Barcome (Rolanda); his brother Tony Umber (Cathy); and his stepbrother James Beyer (Charlene). He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and dear friends.
