He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Birgy and Elsie Birgy (Haskins). He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his sons, Michael (Kelly), Eric (Lisa) and Todd (Aimee); his brother Alan Birgy (Kay); his grandchildren, Megan Kleeves (Hank), Christopher Birgy (Janay), Nicholas Birgy (April), Kourtni Birgy, Travis Birgy (Ashta), Maggie Little, Sarah Little, Scott, Marissa and Payton Sedwick; his great grandchildren, Ella Mae, Kyrin, Bailee, Leighton, Addison, Walter, Kayci, Evelyn, Veronica, Aiden and Gavin; and his siblings-in-law, William Harwood (Diane), Bonnie Gonyer (David) and Sharee Stein (Mark).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kalkaska Funeral Home (152 S Cedar St, Kalkaska, MI 49646). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
