He was predeceased by: his parents, Ballard Sturgill and Gladys Sturgill; his brother-in-law Elster Tibbs; and his sister Julie Johnson. He is survived by: his daughters, Benita Kelley (Donald) and Regina Hamilton; his wife Lois Sturgill; his grandchildren, Autum Kelley, Makinsey Crawley (Josiah), Andrew Kelley and Joy Hamilton; and his siblings, Jettie Tibbs, Betsy Burnett (Larry), Rachel Hamilton (Caramel), Edna Michael, Teene Porter, Joann Marsillett (James), Kennly Sturgill, John Sturgill and Debbie Bentley (Ricky).
