With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nick Manuel Valdez (Flat Rock, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on September 24, 2025 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Nick Valdez; his sister Tonya Valdez; his grandmother Betty Puryear; and his brother-in-law Mark Southerland. He is survived by: his daughter Madison Valdez; his mother Patricia Cross; his stepfather Calvin Cross; his siblings, Michelle Valdez, Marci Gonzalez and CJ Cross (Renee); his daughter Rhonda Valdez; and his niece Shayla Southerland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Michigan Memorial Funeral Home (30895 W Huron River Dr, Flat Rock, MI 48134). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Michigan Memorial Park (32163 W Huron River Dr, Flat Rock, MI 48134). A burial was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at the same location.
