Barbara Joanne Weatherhead Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Barbara Joanne Weatherhead of Flint, Michigan. Barbara, born on August 17, 1931, passed away on October 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmel Porteen and Marian Porteen; her husband William Weatherhead; her siblings-in-law, Ken Weatherhead, Don, Anita Loomis, Richard and Elaine Hendricks; and her son-in-law Bob Myers.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Johnson (Timothy) and Anne Myers; her grandchildren, Andrew Johnson (Rachel), Jennifer Eisinger (Daniel), Anthony Fontana (Amanda), Katie Hunt (Taylor) and William Fontana; her great grandchildren, Everett, Walker Johnson, Emma, Esther and Ezra Eisinger; her brother Richard Porteen (Linda); and her friends, Mike, Kathy, John and Shandelle. She is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Swartz Funeral Home (1225 W Hill Rd, Flint, MI 48507). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
