He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel Gilbert and Katherine Gilbert; his daughter Daphne Gilbert; his granddaughter Ja'Quia Giles; and his siblings, Elroy, Melroy, Clint, Huey Gilbert, Shirley, Lucy, Early and Irene.
He is survived by: his children, Matthew Williams (Rhonda) of Columbus, GA, Lee Williams (Rhonda Brantley) of Flint, MI and Jewel Williams of Flint, MI; his sister Brenda Sams (Famous) of Camden, AR; his aunt Dottie Mae Johnson of Flint, MI; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Lamar of Flint, MI and Burley Lamar (Theresa) of Saginaw, MI.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
