He was predeceased by: his parents, Prentice James and Mamie James; and his siblings, Prentice James and Millicent James. He is survived by: his son Brian M. James II; his grandchildren, Brian, ZaBreah, Mariah, Ace, Carter, Queen and Majesty; his nephew Prentice Caldwell; and his niece Kelli Roberts.
