He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Black and Hazel Black (Robinson); his children, Kenny Black and Yolanda "Loni" Markle; his granddaughter Brandy Denson; and his sister Rita Urban.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Black; his children, Thomas Black (Sherry), Charles E. Black, Jr. and Sherry Sellers; and his siblings, Willie "Marvin" Black, Phyllis McMullen and Joan McBean. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
