With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cynthia Holmes of Flint, Michigan, born in Mansura, Louisiana, who passed away on March 21, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aaron Sampson Sr. and Stella "Fro" Francisco (Fro). She is survived by: her husband Johnny O. Holmes; her children, Oran Holmes (Rhonda) of Columbus, Ohio, Francesca Walker (William) of Dayton and Gabrielle Scott (Micah) of Flint, MI; her grandchildren, Jejana Holmes, Jalen Holmes, Dejon Holmes, Torian Knott, Milan Scott, Jaxon Scott, Kayden Scott and Sydney Scott; her siblings, Aaron Sampson (Joan) of Montgomery, Alabama and Donna Lacour (James Sampson) of Marksville, LA; and her niece Adrianna Trice LaCour.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in memory of Cynthia Holmes to the University of Michigan Medicine Alzheimer's Disease or to her Alma mater, Grambling State University.
