He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Benjamin and Katherine Benjamin (Priselac); and his siblings, Steve Benjamin, Agnes Gall, Selby Goad and Mary Bagley.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine Wright; his children, Deb Basilius (Dan), Michael Benjamin (Tina), Lilly Reeser, David Benjamin (Diane) and Matthew Benjamin; his stepson Paul Motz (Carrie); and his siblings, Bob Benjamin (Lorraine), Mike Benjamin (Mary) and Lillian "Cooky" Abraham. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to churches for masses, in David's memory.
