He is survived by: his children, Lynne Hatton (Craig) of Flint, Douglas Thiese of New York and Beth McCardel of Traverse City; his grandchildren, Rachel Brady, Sydney McCardel and Ally McCardel; and his brothers, Alan Thiese (Sandy) of Rio Communities, NM and Kurt Thiese (Judy) of Zephyrhills, FL. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
