He was predeceased by: his mother Gail Parcher. He is survived by: his father Kenneth Parcher (Linda); his children, Courtney Long, Timothy Long, David Long and Arnold Gross; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Jace, Brett, Eli and Mikey; his stepfather Timothy Parcher; and his siblings, Jamie Heise, Amber Durst (Jeremiah) and Steven Long (Pamela).

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Derrick to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
