She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernadette Palacios and Ignacio Palacios; her husband Earl Black of Michael's Catholic Church; her sisters, Elizabeth Burgess, Bernadette Elizondo, Mary Helen Ranville, Theresa Valley and Yolanda Palacios; and her daughter Joanne Gillett.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas, Jennifer Black of Grand Blanc, Roxanne, Rick Eberts of Cedarville and John Gillett of Flushing; her grandchildren, Andrew, Anna Black, Joseph, Richard Eberts III, Katie, Spencer Hoffmann, Paul, Jen Ihbe-Eberts, Sam, Brittany Eberts, Annie, Michael Haske, Jonathan Gillett and Megan Gillett (Chris Land); her great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Eloise, Elena, Eleanor, Felicity, Frances and Juliette; and her siblings, Rita, Nacho Palacios, William Palacios (Sandra), John Palacios (Mary Ann), Barbara Langdon and Carol LaVictoire (Joseph). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A rosary was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Swartz Funeral Home (1225 E Hill Rd, Grand Blanc, MI 48439). Viewing was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the New Calvary Cemetery (4142 Flushing Rd, Flint, MI 48504). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church (1227 E Bristol Rd, Burton, MI 48529).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
