He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald P. Douglas Sr. and Lucille May Douglas Wiederhold (Vader); his siblings, Clinton "Bud" Douglas, Betty Douglas, Luveda Hunter (Beda) and Barbara Kay Douglas; his granddaughter Michelle Gentz-Bailey; and his pet Coco.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Bruce (Benmark); his daughter Donna Douglas-Bruce; his stepchildren, Rick Bruce, Randy Bruce (Janice) and Roxanne Gentz (Dwight); his grandchildren, Chad Bruce, Tiffany Dingman (Eric), Austin Gentz, Brian Gentz (Carmen), Krystal Cooper and Rachel Cooper; his great great grandchild Oakley Renee; and his brother Jack Douglas. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of Shiawassee County, in Donald's memory.
