She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Dean and Stella Dean (Dixon); her husband Lester E. VanWagoner; and her grandson Zachary King. She is survived by: her children, Janet Jackson (Ken), Dennis VanWagoner (Laurie) and Sandra LaMar (John); and her grandchildren, Timothy Jackson (Shannon), Danielle Miller (Tiffany), Brandy Fisher (Danny), James King and Michael LaMar (Lindsey). She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
