It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doug Pope of Flint, Michigan, who passed away on March 16, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Armend James Houde and Thena Buck; his stepfather Gene Travis Shaw; his wife Joani; his siblings, Curtis, John Pope, Ann Arnold, Bernice Sumner, Earnestine Houde, Marie Etheridge and Lorene Eunice Cunningham (Pope); and his parents-in-law, Bernard and Lucille Woodby.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Wendy Schooley (Tom Mosher); his nephews, Rick Horton and Jerry Horton (Amanda); his brothers-in-law, Morley Bradford (Beth), Larry Woodby and Rex Woodby; his niece Saprine Armstrong; and his friends, Joan Corwin and Kimberly Weiderhold. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
