He was predeceased by: his parents, John Shepherd and Irene Shepherd (Callesen); his wife Joyce Taylor; his son Andrew Shepherd; and his brothers, Don and Melvin Shepherd.

He is survived by: his daughter Brenda (Richard Nyquist); his grandsons, Andy (Julie Nyquist) and Rob Nyquist; and his great grandchildren, Justin and Hayden Nyquist.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Flushing Presbyterian Church.
