He was predeceased by: his father Alvin Elder; and his daughter Sylvia Elder (Many). He is survived by: his children, Didi Stites (Mark) and David Elder (Magen); and his grandchildren, Nathan, Mindi, Justin, Shelly, Robert, Chelsie, Tasha, Emily, Matthew and Jacob.
