He is survived by: his son Eric Velasquez of New Braunfels, Texas; his grandson Kyrie Velasquez; his mother Eunice Southward Jones of Flint, MI; his sister Masai Jones of Easton, Pennsylvania; and his nephews, Malachi Tyrone and Moses Tyrone. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
