He was predeceased by: his parents, Eunie Smith and Lilly Mae Smith (Snyder); and his close friend Leonard "Red" Perry. He is survived by: his wife Katie M. Barnett; his children, Michelle (Keith Sauve) of Montrose and Jeffrey (Tammy Smith) of Grand Blanc; and his grandchildren, Jared Sauve, Trevor Sauve, Wyatt Smith and Abigail Smith.
