He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Overland and Nina Overland (Martindale); his children, Richard and Ella; his granddaughter Kelly; and his brothers, Floyd, Robert and Paul.

He is survived by: his children, Daniel Overland (Linda) and Cindy Gwyn (Jerry); his grandchildren, Christopher, Eric, Bill, Alice, Patrick, Lindsey and Lance; and his siblings, Jerry (Linda), Richard, Delores (Mike) and Susie (Gary). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
