He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Vandemark and Charles Vandemark; and his brother Gordon Vandemark. He is survived by: his wife Carol Vandemark; his daughters, Emily Steenwyk (Michael) and Natalie Stokes (Clifton); his grandchildren, Natalie Ooms (Ethan), Jason Steenwyk, Nathan Steenwyk, Jonathan Stokes and Nicholas Stokes; his great grandchildren, Audrey Ooms and Lucas Ooms; his siblings, Robert Vandemark (Brenda) and Glenda Williams (Larry); and his sister-in-law Judy Vandemark.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the South Baptist Church Parking Lot Fund or The Salvation Army.
