He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ray and Mamie Ray (McLain); his wife Joan; his children, Scott A. Hicks and Rhonda Hicks Hurry; and his son-in-law Brian Hurry.
He is survived by: his sons, Mike Ray Jr. and Matt Ray; and his grandsons, Gary and Nick.
