She was predeceased by: her son Dwayne Fields; her parents, Nora Hairston and Charlie Hairston; her siblings, Sophonia Graham, Naomi Hairston, Harvey Hairston, Howard Hairston and Bernard Hairston; and her nephews, Bradley Hairston, Brian Keith Hairston and Shawn Hairston.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lottie Fields and Tracy Orr (Cedric Jenkins); her sister Lottie Hairston of Mt. Airy, NC; her grandchildren, Lakeisha Murphy, Kanisha Hill, Curtis Orr Jr., Zyasia Fields, Zonaia Fields and Zebiyan Fields; her friends, Kathy Graham and Kendrick Hairston; her great grandchildren, Tylin Hill and Tracelyn Ryan; and her close friends, Elizabeth Veal, Sue Henry, Pat Elerson and Robert Vansquez (Rabbit). She is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins, other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center (901 Garland St, Flint, MI 48503). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
