He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewell Taylor and Freda Neal; his in-laws, Ed, Joyce Rouse and Nadine Shelton; his brothers, Calvin Taylor, Kenneth Taylor and Michael Taylor; his grandsons, John Hart Jr. and Andrew Payne; and his great grandchild Amyiah Echols.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Rouse Taylor; his daughters, Karen Majewski (Ron) and Katrina Ramirez (Jose); his sister Iris Estep (Randall) of Fayetteville; and his grandchildren, Cevin Payne (Randilyn), Tyler Cox, Emily Payne, Haylee Vasquez (Alexis), Alexandra Echols (Avion), Eric Cox (Eirin), Michael Hart and Josh Daily (Carisa). He is also survived by his 19 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (1225 W Hill Rd, Flint, MI 48507).
