He is survived by: his wife Tahera Rasool of Flint; his children, Khadijah Baity (Salih) of Westland, MI, Carmen Fortenberry of Ypsilanti, MI, Eric Rasool of Lansing, MI and Hamin Rasool II of Flint; his stepchildren, Fred Banks of Flint, Larry Young II (Jihan) of Portage, MI and Omari Young MD of Boston, MA; his siblings, Mary Taite of Grove Hill, AL and George Edgar of San Antonio, TX; his aunt Willie Catherine Johnson of Flint; and his siblings-in-law, Pearl Frazier of Sharpeburg, GA, Maryam Muhammad of Flint, Ann Whatley of Flint, Shahidah Rasool of Flushing, MI, Willie Pearl Hicks of Cleveland, OH, Thomas Taite of Grov Hill, AL, Forrest Hicks of Cleveland, OH and Khalil Muhammad. He is also survived by niece, nephews, other relatives and friends.
