He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Borchelt and Dorothy Borchelt (Westmeyer); his sister Shirley Marcum (Ray); his brother-in-law Tom Holman; his parents-in-law, Emma and Sylvan Deffner; and his siblings-in-law, Wanda Swain (Bill) and Tom Hentz.
He is survived by: his wife LaDonna Borchelt; his daughters, Michelle Borchelt and Bettina Jimenez (David); his grandchildren, Andrew, Alyssa Jimenez, Jared (Allie Robbins) and Gavin Haack; his sisters, Evelyn Holman, Arlene Neyer (Mike) and Bev Schwier (Jeff); and his sister-in-law Lorraine Hentz (Jennifer Davis). He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Calvary Presbyterian Church (6100 Richfield Rd, Flint, MI 48506). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. John's United Church of Christ (300 N Huntersville Rd, Batesville, IN 47006). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
