He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Kaake and Evelyn Kaake (Hurrell); and his sister Rita Dodge. He is survived by: his former spouse Rin Changkon; his wife Budsarin Kaake (Rin); and his stepmother Sylvia Kaake.
