He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gilbert Bruce Sr. and Winnie Lee Bruce (Crider); his siblings, Harold, Gilbert Jr., Freddy and Virginia; and his grandson Harley.
He is survived by: his wife Joy L. Jordan; his brother Reggie Paul Bruce; his children, Terry Bruce (Pam), Jimmy M. Bruce and Angela J. Whitfill (Joseph); his stepchildren, Mark Jordan, Rhonda Terryah (Glenn) and Lisa Jordan; his grandchildren, Rachel, Angela, Trisha and Moriah; and his great grandchildren, Riley, Genevieve and Vincent.
