He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lawrence Maydell Brinkley and Ellcon Brinkley (Johnson); his wife Mary Huffman; his daughter Teena; his granddaughter Briona Jawhari; and his brothers, Roy Joe Brinkley and James Brinkley.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Brinkley (Amy Webster), Anthony Brinkley (Karen), Tarra Owens and Jerry Brinkley; and his siblings, Jack Brinkley (Bernice Fields), Ambrose "Tucker" Brinkley, Gary Brinkley (Trina) and Ruth Barger. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; many great- grandchildren.
