He is survived by: his sons, Brian Rife and Kyle Rife (Krystal); his grandchildren, Bret Rife, Lukas Rife (Deborah), Trevor Rife and Preston Rife; his great grandchildren, Roman Rife, Reuben Rife, Preston Rife and Roxy Rife; his siblings, Jean, Johnny, Judy, Van, Anita, Sandy, Cindy, Debbie and Sherry; and his caregiver Aileen England. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center (6063 Fenton Rd, Flint, MI 48507). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
