It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Francis Hardenbrook of Flint, Michigan, born in Highland Park, Michigan, who passed away on June 23, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Arthur Wilcox and Josephine Fitzgerald (Hyland); her son Jeffrey Hardenbrook; and her former husband Bruce. She is survived by: her children, Laura McKellar (Hardenbrook) of Flushing, David Hardenbrook of Detroit and Lynn McNee (Bruce) of Peoria, AZ; her daughter-in-law Debbie Walsh; her grandchildren, Arthur McKellar, Andrea Loveless (McKellar), Garret Hardenbrook and Grace Hardenbrook; and her great grandchildren, Carter, Elliot Hardenbrook, Austin and Makenna Loveless.
She taught herself to sew and knit and was a member of the Needlework Guild of America (NGA), and her famous afghans raised lots of money for charity at their auctions.
