He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Hallwood and Emma Hallwood (Dumler); and his brothers, Donald, Edward and Kenneth.

He is survived by: his wife LeRiene; his children, Victoria Laney (Don), Lisa Cherwinski (late Chris), Mary Neifert (Ron) and John Hallwood; his grandchildren, Rob Polovina (Heather), Brianna Meldrum (Eric), Brendan Laney, Nicole Wing (Mike), Anthony Cherwinski (Brittany), Benjamin Cherwinski, Stewart Neifert (Alex), Hannah Neifert (Cameron Hall) and Abbey Neifert (Layne Zirkle); his great grandchildren, Jackson, Annabelle Polovina, Mila, Chloe Meldrum, Braden, Evan, Jase, Reese Wing and Willa Cherwinski; his siblings, Richard Hallwood, Leon Hallwood (Beverly) and Beverly Gillett; and his sister-in-law Barbara Hallwood. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to YMCA or to the family to use in Jack's honor.
