He is survived by: his wife Theresa Fitzgerald (Stadler); his siblings-in-law, Melanie Bourdow (Craig Purcell), Kathryn Stadler and Fred Stadler (Kim); his stepparents-in-law, Linda Stadler and Robert Batchelder; his nieces and nephews, Bev Thompson (Mike), Kay Clingenpeel, Holly Blumenschein (Jason), Aaron Stadler (Jordan Yax), Samantha Stadler (Kris Reittenbach), Karli (Dane Lesperance), Chessa and Hogan Bourdow; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jayton, Triston, Ameris and Ashton Blumenschein.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in John's name would be gratefully welcomed by St. Jude Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
