He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard James and Ida Mae Harris (Barber). He is survived by: his children, John P. Harris, Shelly Guthrie (Todd) and Michael J. Harris; the mother of his children Judy Harris; his sisters, Pamela Dailey and Teresa Iverson (Emil); and his grandson Todd Guthrie Jr.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
