Mays.
He is survived by: the mother of his children Constance Welch of Baltimore, MD; his children, Kathy Roberts of Flint, MI, Angela Staten of Baltimore, MD, Kermit Alfonso Welch III (Zerell) of Leesburg, VA, Katrina Welch-Smith of Columbia, MD and Karla Lawrence of Mt. Morris, MI; his sister-in-law Martha Mays; his grandchildren, Herschel Roberts (Taneshia) of Columbia, SC, Kayla Welch-Lawrence of Detroit, MI, Amanda Kelley (Matthew) of Richmond, VA, Michael Roberts of San Jose, CA, Stephen Staten of San Francisco, CA, Dr. Kristian Welch of Washington, DC, Brandt Welch of Hyattsville, MD, Noah Staten of San Jose, CA, Sydney Smith of Columbia, MD and Simone Smith of Columbia, MD; his great grandchildren, Kalen of Detroit, MI, Makhi of Detroit, MI, Kaycee of Detroit, MI and Riley of Columbia, SC; his cousin Annette Brown of Sherrill, AR; his nephew Reginald Woolfolk (Darlene) of Grand Blanc, MI; his cousin Dr. Angela Brown of St. Louis, MO; and his stepgrandson Dwan Finney (Valerie) of Buckeye, AZ. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Viewing was held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home Chapel (906 W Flint Park Blvd, Flint, MI 48505). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the God Church (2200 Forest Hill Ave, Flint, MI 48504).
