He is survived by: his children, Larry "Jamaal" Gibson of Dallas, Texas and Tisalene Freeman of Little Rock, Arkansas; his siblings, Erma Bolden of Flint, Debra Sims of White Hall, Peggy Gibson, Joyce Wilkes (Melvin) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Maverick Turner of Flint, Michigan, Roy Jackson of Flint, Michigan and Donnie Gibson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his brother-in-law Darcell Price Jr. of Grand Blanc; his grandchildren, Brandon, Briana, Braylon Mitchell, An'Nisa, Tareef Gibson and Maeyani Santos-Gibson; his great grandchildren, Kayden Mitchell, Kaylani Mitchell, Joel Austin, Nyla Austin and Darren Austin; his uncle Samuel Gibson (Diane) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; his stepmother Louise Gibson of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and his close friend Melvin "Toot" Williams. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Legacy Funeral Chapel (1009 E Stewart Ave, Flint, MI 48505). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
