In loving memory of Linda Lu Proffer of Flint, Michigan, who departed this world on July 25, 2025 at the age of 83. Linda Lu leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leland Shears and Fern Shears (McNally); her husband Jerry Proffer; her son Thomas Proffer; and her sister Nancy Shears.
She is survived by: her children, Eric Proffer (Carla) and Kelli Derr (Todd); her grandchildren, Amanda Poe (Jake), Alyssa Anton (Steve), Corbin Derr, Coltin Derr and Sarah Klinert; her great grandchildren, Benjamin, Aliyah, Ezra, Eric, Lincoln and Carsynn; and her brothers, Lee Shears and Richard Shears. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mark Lutheran Church (5073 Daly Blvd, Flint, MI 48506).
